Conserving water is good for the environment, and helps save hundreds of dollars on your water, sewer and energy bills.
IN THE KITCHEN
- Replace your old dishwasher with a new Energy Star model. These washers save energy and water.
- Refrigerate a pitcher of drinking water instead of letting a faucet flow until the water is cold enough to drink.
- Install a low-flow aerator on the faucet.
- Fill ‘er up. The same amount of water is needed whether you run a half or full load of dishes.
- Turn off the faucet while washing dishes by hand.
IN THE BATHROOM

showerhead. - Go low-flow. Replace your old inefficient toilet with a new 1.6-gallon per flush version.
- Install a low-flow aerator on the faucet.

- Take showers instead of tub baths.
