Water Project: Raw Water Pipeline at Scott Water Treatment Plant

Description

In early August 2024, McMinnville Water & Light began a $1.87 million project to install a new 36-inch raw water pipeline routing water to the Scott Water Treatment Plant. The existing raw water pipeline was installed in 1976 with varying types of pipe materials and diameter sizes. In 2014, MW&L exposed and inspected a section of wrapped steel pipe, which confirmed the pipeline was approaching the end of its life expectancy, so we began planning and budgeting for its replacement. The new approximately 1,750-foot pipeline will start at an existing valve vault near Haskins Dam, follow an access road along Haskins Creek, then leave the creek alignment and enter the water treatment plant site. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
