Electric Project: Utility Pole Inspections

Description

UPDATE, Oct. 17, 2024: The first round of utility pole inspections, which took place between May 2024 through September 2024, has been completed. Inspectors will return in 2025 for the next round of inspections.

McMinnville Water & Light (MW&L) will be inspecting, testing and treating utility poles within our service territory. MW&L regularly undertakes the inspection and treatment of its utility poles to maintain the system’s safety, reliability and integrity.

The inspections involve entering properties where crews will perform a visual inspection at the ground line, check poles for strength and apply a treatment to extend the life. MW&L has contracted with National Wood Treating Company for this project. Be aware that all National Wood Treating Company employees will be wearing logo shirts and driving vehicles that display the National Wood Treating Company logo.  Please be careful and watch out for the safety of these workers who will be performing inspections along the roads.

Please call us at 503-472-6919 ext. 9 if you have questions about the Pole Test & Treat Program.
