McMinnville Water & Light’s rebate offer just got better for customers in the market for a heat pump conversion or upgrade.
Last week, the MW&L Commission approved the use of $100,000 from the sale of Clean Fuel Credits to fund additional rebates for customers. This promotion will apply to customers who qualify for Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) rebates for heat pump projects.
The $1,500 MW&L rebate would add considerable savings for McMinnville Water & Light customers for the following heat pump projects:
- Ductless and ducted mini-split heat pump conversion from zonal or electric forced-air furnace ($600 BPA + $1,500 MW&L rebates)
- Ducted heat pump conversion from electric forced-air furnace to air-source heat pump ($750 BPA + $1,500 MW&L rebates)
- Ducted heat pump conversion from electric forced-air furnace to variable-speed heat pump ($900 BPA + $1,500 MW&L rebates)
- Ducted variable-speed heat pump upgrade ($150 BPA + $1,500 MW&L rebates)
This promotion begins October 1, 2024, and the additional $1,500 enhancement would be available only until the funding promotion is exhausted or September 30, 2025, whichever occurs sooner. This promotion is not retroactive to projects completed before October 1.
MW&L also offers rebates for other residential customer projects including insulation and weatherization, doors, windows, heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, Energy Star Manufactured Home, Energy Star appliances, and smart thermostats.
Interested customers should call MW&L at 503-435-3115 before they start their project to learn more and get pre-approval.
