McMinnville Water & Light’s energy efficiency rebate offers just got better for customers in the market for a heat pump conversion or upgrade and weatherization projects involving windows, doors, and insulation.
On October 21, the MW&L Commission approved the use of $250,000 from the sale of Clean Fuel Credits to fund additional rebates for customers. This promotion will apply to MW&L customers who qualify for Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) rebates for specific projects that are pre-approved through McMinnville Water & Light. The MW&L enhancements – on top of the BPA rebate – will add considerable savings for customers.
This promotion began October 1, 2025, and the enhanced rebates will be available until the funding promotion is exhausted or September 30, 2028, whichever occurs sooner. This promotion is not retroactive to projects completed before October 1, 2025.
Interested customers should call MW&L at 503-435-3115 to get more information about income qualifications and to get pre-approval for the rebates before starting their project.
Depending on income qualification and project specifications, BPA heat pump rebates can range from $920 to $9,000 + $1,500 MW&L enhancement.
MW&L is also adding additional enhancements to the standard BPA rebates for window and door replacements and attic, floor and wall insulation.
Rebates cannot exceed the total project cost.
MW&L also offers rebates for heat pump water heaters, Energy Star Manufactured Home, Energy Star appliances, and smart thermostats.
