Water Rates

As a not-for-profit, publicly owned utility, McMinnville Water and Light provides water to customers at cost, and raises rates only when necessary. Prices are based on the costs to serve our community with high quality, reliable water service. We work hard to control costs and operate as efficiently as possible.

The following rate categories represent the majority of MW&L customers and are a brief summarization of the actual rate schedules. Download the complete set of Water Rate Schedules (PDF).

These rates are effective October 1, 2025.

Inside City Limits

Customer Charge (based on meter size):
- 5/8” and 3/4”: $16.30
- 1”: $23.28
- 1.5”: $34.00
- 2”: $56.00
- Over 2”: see rate schedule
Consumption Charge 0-1,000 cubic feet: $1.7557 per 100 cubic feet
Consumption Charge Over 1,000 cubic feet: $2.2305 per 100 cubic feet

For example, a customer with ¾” water meter using 1,500 cubic feet/month:
