This Project consists of engineering services for pre-design and design through the following tasks:

Task 1 – Project Management:
General coordination and discussions with MW&L management team. Conduct project update meetings and invoicing.

Task 2 – Environmental Assessment and Permitting:
Pole alignment and placement may potentially impact wetlands and waterways regulated by the Oregon Department of State Lands (DSL) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The purpose of this task is to determine if State and Federal permits are needed for construction, including site access and potential roadway improvements. The consultant will conduct a wetland delineation field work and prepare a Wetland Delineation Report, if necessary. If it is determined that environmental permitting is required, the Consultant will take lead to obtaining these permits on behalf of MW&L.

Task 3 – Primary Design:
The primary design (bid ready documents) will be to produce an Issued of Construction (IFC) package for the rebuild of a 1.4 mile, 22 structure section of MW&L’s Walnut City Tap 115 kV transmission line. Work will include:

  • Kick-off meeting with key stakeholders
  • Conduct a site visit and document with photos the condition of the existing alignment.
  • Develop design criteria document to be approved by MW&L.
  • Topographic surveying, as necessary.
  • Produce 60%, 90%, and 100% (final) design submittal.
