Qualifying Program Standard

Clothes Washer

*$25 - $70

1. Energy Star Clothes Washers with a Modified Energy Factor (MEF) of 1.72 or higher and a Water Factor (WF) of 8.0 or lower qualify for the rebate.

*If the hot water heater or dryer is natural gas then the lower rebate of $25 applies

Dishwasher

1. Energy Star standard dishwashers with an Energy Factor (EF) of .58 or higher qualify for the rebate. (A standard dishwasher has a capacity greater than or equal to eight place settings and six serving pieces.)

2. Energy Star compact dishwashers with an Energy Factor (EF) of .88 or higher qualify for the rebate. (A compact dishwasher has a capacity less than eight place settings and six serving pieces.)

3. The home where the appliance is being installed must have electric water heating.

Electric Water Heater

$30

Water Heaters between 0-59 gallons must have an Energy Factor of .93 or higher. Water Heaters 60 gallons and greater must have an Energy Factor of .91 or higher.

Refrigerator

$25

Energy Star refrigerators qualify for the rebate.

Refrigerator Decommissioning

$85

MW&L customers purchasing an Energy Star refrigerator for the rebate may also qualify for this rebate by decommissioning their old refrigerator. (The old refrigerator must be at least 14 cu. ft. in capacity & verified as functional. The unit must be decommissioned & its components recycled.) Provide proof of decommissioning such as a receipt from the Western Oregon Waste.
